Relationship is a two way street.  It is the conversation and interaction between two people. The closer we grow together, the different the dynamics of the relationship become. When I love someone it naturally affects the way I treat them, think about them, respond to them and talk about them.  Love really changes everything. It has the power to give me the ability to see the other person  though rose colored glasses.  You know those glasses that make the other person look, beautiful, skinny and flawless regardless of the facts.  My lenses becomes ...

The Lord has been challenging me lately with this one question, "Do you believe in the power of the gospel?"  To which I immediately reply, "Yes!"  But I know deep in my heart that that is only partially true.  Now I know what you are thinking, how can the pastor not believe in the power of the gospel?  I do believe that there is power available to heal, deliver, transform and turn the world right side up.  But I would be lying if I said that there are not days when the things I see, hear, experience and come face to face with do not challenge that truth.  Yes! it is absolutely true that the power of the gospel is ...

2016 -  it is a new year, a new season and God is giving us a new song.  We were all so excited about 2015 and were reveling in the idea of triple grace.  Little did we know that we would need triple grace and a little more to face the challenges that came our way during the year.  The good news is the struggles of the past year have strengthened us in preparation for the battles we are going to WIN this year.  Make no mistake about it, we are different people, who have grown wiser and who are more established in our identity as Sons and Daughters.  God is setting us up for ...

Have you noticed how desperate the world is for a little hope? It is as if someone pulled the string on the sweater that is our world and the whole thing is unraveling and no one seems to know what to do or how to respond. The scope of what is happening is so overwhelming that it is easy to throw up our hands and repeat the mantra we hear so often, “the world is going to hell in a hand basket”. That must be one big hand basket. And who came up with that saying anyway? The next question is, “why do we believe that”? That certainly isn’t how God feels about things. He is as full of hope, passion, optimism and expectation as He as has been or ever will be. I believe God loves the challenge of the impossible. But lets be honest, the only ones ...

Our nation is in one of the greatest battles in her existence.  We have survived the revolution, the civil war and other world conflicts over the years.  Each one has demonstrated the strength of commitment to a cause and the innate desire for freedom.  This not a commentary on the pros and cons of war, but we are currently engaged in one whether we want to be or not.  You and I were put on the planet for such a time as this, because you and I have the opportunity to win another battle for freedom.

In 1990 a man named Luis Bush began a movement to pray for the 10/40 window.  This is the area of the world that is known to great socioeconomic challenges and the least amount of Christian influence.  There are more distinctly non-christian religions that are practiced in that part of the globe than in any other. So, that region became ...

Have you ever asked God questions?  I believe He actually loves answering questions.  Conversations are constructed out of questions and answers.  Have you ever had lunch with someone and felt like the conversation was work?  You know, you ask a question and get a “yes” or “no” answer.  Sometimes, we would prefer God to answer us in a simple “yes” or “no” but instead He often answers our questions with a question.  Why would He do that to us?  Because you are the object of His greatest affection and He wants to spend more time with you than would be involved if He just said, “yes” or “no” and He is not interested in just giving us orders or directing us as one of His loyal subjects ...

We serve an unchanging God!  He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Wow, that is a great thought.  I believe that sometimes we get the impression that God is bipolar or mentally unstable.  Now I know we would never admit that out loud, but we can still perceive that Gods thoughts and heart change depending on our day and our actions or His.  What a relief to know that this is so far from the truth.  He never changes.  He is always in a good mood and He is head over heels ...

Has anyone ever called you "fruity?"  Well if no one else has, I will.  You are fruity!  Your life looks like a tree planted by the river that is popping out all kinds of fruit every day!  You are a real "fruit ninja." Shall I go on?  You may be thinking I'm the one who is fruity.  Well, I am, thank you for noticing!  Now that we have the pleasantries out of the way, let's talk fruit.  No, not strawberries, goose berries or watermelon, ...

"Love is a beautiful thing". I think someone wrote a song about that.  Isn't it amazing that God built the foundation of His kingdom on that very thing - love. He didn't choose power or intellect or stature. Everything He created and does comes from the motivation of a burning heart of love.  That is an amazing thought itself, but grab ahold of this one, you are the one He loves!
